Following the success of ‘The Christmas Journey’ SPARKFISH is planning to offer
‘THE EASTER EXPERIENCE’
to year 5 students from local schools in 2014! We need volunteers to… act, make or provide props, scenery and costumes, general volunteers to help organise this exciting project.

Pray for Sandcross School
Would you like to pray for Sandcross School? Come along to St Luke’s Church, Church Road, RH2 8HY on Monday 13th May 2013 and Monday 8th July 2013 9am and we will finish by 10am.
Sandcross School is an important part of our lives and our community. I would love you to join me at St Luke’s Church to pray for our school…..the children, teachers, other staff, final term of academic year, children moving on, outings, learning, safety and more. Whether you pray quietly in your head or out loud, come along straight after drop off; tea & coffee will be served, we can chat and pray. (Younger siblings welcome during prayer time.)

One Way at St Luke’s
One Way is a fun and interactive exhibition where you use all your senses to explore the stories from the life of Jesus. It was devised and created by Richard Colpus, a member of the SparkFish team, when he was working in Medway, and it has toured many places. Past visitors have enjoyed the experience. “A fresh and innovative approach to make the Bible story alive,” said one adult, while a child commented, “I like the sounds and smells!” During the week beginning 22nd April, the exhibition will be set up at St Luke’s Church, Reigate. In the mornings, school classes will visit for an RE lesson which will introduce them in an active and imaginative way to the heart of the Gospel stories. In the afternoons (12.30 - 5.00) and on Saturday (11.00 - 5.00), the exhibition is open to anyone who would like to visit.

SparkFish job opportunities
1. SparkFish is growing rapidly and is now looking for a Primary Schools Worker to allow Liz to focus more on secondary schools. Experience in Primary education is desirable. The initial contract is for 2 days pw or equivalent, term-time only, in the school year 2013-14, but we hope to be able to extend this.
2. Prayer plays a crucial role in our continued growth at SparkFish. We are looking for a Volunteer Prayer Co-ordinator who can identify ways to involve more people in different forms of prayer – including the young people whom we serve.
